Muhoozi Kainerugaba

Muhoozi Kainerugaba is a Major General in the Uganda People's Defense Force. He was born on April 24, 1974. (UPDF). He is in charge of the Special Forces Group, which includes the Presidential Guard Brigade. The Presidential Guard Brigade is in charge of protecting the President of Uganda and the constitutional monarchs of Uganda. The Special Forces Group is also in charge of keeping the oil installations in Uganda safe. He is President Yoweri Museveni's son, and it is said that he is training him to take over after him.

Family: Kainerugaba was born on April 24, 1974, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to Yoweri Museveni, who has been President of Uganda since 1986, and Janet Museveni, who has been the Minister for Karamoja Affairs since May 2011.

The first child they had was Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Education

Kainerugaba went to school in Tanzania, Kenya, and Sweden when he was a child. After his father became President of Uganda, he went to schools like Kampala Parents School and St. Mary's College Kisubi, which is about halfway between Kampala and Entebbe and is a residential middle and high school. In 1994, he got his diploma. [6]

Kainerugaba says that he joined the military after he graduated from high school in 1994. But he didn't join the UPDF for real until 1999. He got married that year and started at the Royal Military College Sandhurst soon after. He graduated in 2000. Later, he got into the Egyptian Military Academy, where he took courses for both company commanders and battalion commanders. He has also gone to the Kalama Warfare Training School in Kabamba, Mubende District, Central Uganda. [7] In 2007, he was accepted into a one-year program at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas's United States Army Command and General Staff College. He graduated in June 2008. 

Job in the military

When Kainerugaba came back to Uganda from Sandhurst in 2000, he was given the job of Second Lieutenant in the Presidential Protection Unit. In 2001, he was moved up in the UPDF to the rank of Major. [9] As a Major, he was put in charge of the Presidential Guard Brigade's brigade. After he graduated from Fort Leavenworth in 2008, he was given the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was put in charge of the Uganda People's Defense Force's Special Forces Group.
