Ragga Ben
Ragga Ben, born on March 4, 1983, in Kampala, Uganda, is a dancehall and reggae artist known for blending traditional Ugandan sounds with contemporary dancehall beats. His musical journey began at a young age, inspired by the vibrant music culture around him. He later pursued a degree in Music, Dance, and Drama at Makerere University, which helped refine his artistry.
His debut album Ndakwikundira (2006) brought him recognition, featuring hit songs like Ndakwikundira and Obupangisa. His music, performed in English, Luganda, and other Ugandan languages, covers themes of love, celebration, and social commentary. Over the years, he released other successful tracks, including Bikoola, Ndeekamwoyo, and Fire.
A major milestone in his career was winning the Best Dancehall Artist award at the 2015 HiPipo Music Awards. Apart from music, Ragga Ben is involved in philanthropic activities, advocating for education, youth empowerment, and social justice
